The CUBC Hosts Roundtable with UAE Minister of Economy
The Canada-UAE Business Council (CUBC) was honoured to convene a private-sector roundtable at Investopia Global in Calgary, reinforcing the strength of the bilateral commercial relationship and advancing opportunities for future growth.

The session brought together senior leaders from Canada and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to explore strategic collaboration across priority sectors, including energy, artificial intelligence, finance, mining, connectivity, and infrastructure.

The CUBC extends its sincere gratitude to H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, the Hon. Jean Charest, CUBC Co-Chair, H.E. Abdulrahman Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Canada, H.E. Mohammad Alhawi, UAE Undersecretary for Investment, and Mr. Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of International Relations at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, for their leadership and insights.

Participants included prominent business leaders, investors, and advisors who engaged in a strategic dialogue on the state of the bilateral economic relationship, pathways to deepen cooperation, and upcoming opportunities to advance shared priorities.

This roundtable builds on the Council’s recent series of engagements in Alberta and prepares the ground for significant milestones ahead, including the participation of Premier Danielle Smith at ADIPEC.

With more than $100 billion in bilateral investment and strong complementarities across strategic sectors, Canada and the UAE are well positioned to chart the next phase of growth together.
