The Canada-UAE Business Council Strengthens Ties with Ontario

The Canada-UAE Business Council (CUBC) advanced strategic collaboration with Ontario through a high-level meeting with Ontario Premier the Hon. Doug Ford, Ontario Minister of Energy and Mines, the Hon. Stephen Lecce, Parliamentary Assistant David Smith, and Ontario Power Generation.

Discussions focused on opportunities in energy, critical minerals, advanced technologies, and infrastructure - sectors where Ontario’s industrial expertise and leadership in nuclear and clean energy offer strong complementarities with the United Arab Emirates’s (UAE) long-term growth agenda.

With more than $100 billion in bilateral investment, the Canada-UAE partnership continues to expand, underpinned by collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision for sustainable development. Ontario’s advanced industrial base and resource endowments position the province as a vital partner in the next chapter of Canada-UAE cooperation.
