The Canada-UAE Business Council hosted on Tuesday a luncheon discussion in Abu Dhabi with the Honourable Omar Alghabra, Minister of Transport of Canada, His Excellency Kris Panday, Ambassador of Canada to the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Jean-Philippe Linteau, Consul General of Canada in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Serge Bijimine, Assistant Deputy Minister of Policy at Transport Canada, and Mélanie Robert, Director General of International Relations and Trade Policy at Transport Canada.

The event featured opening remarks by Canada-UAE Business Council Co-Chair, Musabbeh Al Kaabi, CEO of Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform and incoming Executive Director of ADNOC’s new low carbon solutions and international growth vertical. The luncheon provided Business Council members and Government of Canada representatives with an opportunity to engage in a lively policy dialogue about opportunities and challenges for the business community and the Canada-UAE strategic partnership, particularly around sustainability and energy transition, improving connectivity and strengthening supply chains.
