The Canada-UAE Business Council, in collaboration with the Government of Saskatchewan, hosted an exclusive roundtable discussion on the sidelines of Gulfood to welcome Saskatchewan’s Minister of Agriculture, the Honourable Daryl Harrison.
As one of Canada’s leading agricultural powerhouses, Saskatchewan plays a pivotal role in global food security, supplying high-quality wheat, pulses, and oilseeds to markets worldwide. The province is also a hub for agri-tech innovation, sustainable farming practices, and advanced infrastructure supporting logistics and trade.
Saskatchewan is also a global leader in critical minerals, home to the world’s largest high-grade uranium deposits, which are essential for clean energy production. The province is a key supplier of potash, a crucial component in global fertilizer production, reinforcing its role in supporting food security and sustainable development.
The evening provided a platform for dynamic discussions on expanding collaboration in agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, investment, and critical minerals.
