CUBC Presents Women In Renewables Of The Year 2023 Awards

The Canada-UAE Business Council presented on March 15th the fifth edition of the Women in Renewables of the Year Awards during a ceremony hosted and organised by the Women in Renewables Alliance in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The awards aim to celebrate and recognize the achievements of women who are making significant contributions to the renewable energy industry.

Recipients of the Women in Renewables of the Year 2023 Awards:

- Ms. Nawal Alhanaee, Director of the Future Energy Department and Head of the COP 28 Energy Task Force, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, United Arab Emirates
- Ms. Anastasia Vaia, Global Vice President for Hydrogen and CCS, BP
- Ms. Valerie Ruiz Domingo, Group Hydrogen Vice President, ENGIE

The awards ceremony highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts to create a future energy net-zero workforce that is diverse, inclusive, and vibrant. The Canada-UAE Business Council is proud to partner with the Women in Renewables Alliance to recognize the achievements of these trailblazing leaders and to continue supporting the renewable energy industry's growth and progress.

With the United Arab Emirates set to host this year the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 28) from 30 November to 12 December 2023 at Expo City Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Canada-UAE Business Council has been working closely with key partners including the COP 28 leadership team and the Government of Canada to engage with the business community with activities including high-profile events and working group meetings.
