Air Canada Dreamliner

Air Canada Joins the Canada-UAE Business Council

The Canada-UAE Business Council is pleased to introduce and welcome its new corporate member, Air Canada

Air Canada is Canada's largest airline and the largest provider of scheduled passenger services in the Canadian market, the Canada-United States transborder market and in the international market to and from Canada. Air Canada is a founding member of Star Alliance, providing the world's most comprehensive air transportation network.

Established in 1937, Air Canada has been at the forefront of innovation in the aviation field. It pioneered Canada’s first transborder service and helped develop the multi-channel flight recorder, commonly referred to as the black box. As Canada's flag carrier for over 85 years, Air Canada connects the nation with domestic service to 51 Canadian airports. The airline’s international network extends to six continents with service to over 80 airports from its Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver hubs, as well as from Calgary and Halifax, and an average of more than 150 daily frequencies.

Air Canada operates daily year-round non-stop service between Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Toronto and launched last year a new four-times-weekly route connecting Vancouver to Dubai. The service was inaugurated with the landing of the first flight to Dubai International (DXB) on October 29, 2023 and marked the airline’s first-ever non-stop flight between Dubai and Vancouver and the only non-stop service connecting the Middle East and Western Canada - a new link that will surely elevate Canada-UAE people-to-people and commercial ties to new heights.

Join us in extending a warm welcome to Air Canada!
