Powering Tomorrow: Policy Recommendations from the Canada-UAE Future Energy Forum
The Canada-UAE Business Council (CUBC) hosted, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, the Canada-UAE Future Energy Forum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This exclusive event, held on Energy and Industry/Just Transition/Indigenous Peoples thematic day of the 28th session of the Conference of Parties to the UNFCCC (COP 28), brought together over 200 government and industry leaders, innovators, and change-makers, to explore bilateral energy opportunities, new investments, technological advancements, and robust strategies to power a sustainable future.
The purpose of this policy brief is to succinctly summarize the discussions from the Forum's three main panels and outline actionable policy recommendations proposed by the panelists. It aims to serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, industry leaders, and interested parties seeking to understand the outcomes and implications of the Forum's discussions on energy transition, sustainability, and related topics.
