CUBC Applauds the Expansion of the Canada-UAE Air Transport Agreement
Today, the Minister of Transport of Canada, the Honourable Omar Alghabra, announced the conclusion of an expanded air transport agreement between Canada and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The expanded agreement will allow 21 flights per week for each country, representing an increase of 50 per cent compared to the maximum number of flights previously possible.
The Canada-UAE Business Council applauds the expansion of the Air Transport Agreement. Air links play a pivotal role in advancing bilateral trade and investment across key sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, technology, and energy. This expansion will help support the growing demand for bilateral connectivity and increase commercial activity.
